What does HueLumino add to Illustrator?
Curves, Levels, Color Grading, Color Balance, HSL, Vibrance, Temperature and Tint, Color Mixer, Gradient Map, grayscale tools, and more. You can preview changes across supported fills, strokes, gradients, text, and Appearance colors from one panel.
Does Adobe Illustrator have Curves and Levels?
Not on its own. Illustrator ships with Recolor Artwork and a few Edit Colors commands, but there is no built-in Curves or Levels adjustment for vector color. HueLumino adds both — a draggable curve with control points, and black, gamma, and white input triangles under a histogram with output limits — and applies them to supported fills, strokes, gradients, text, and Appearance colors.
How is this different from doing it in Photoshop?
Photoshop adjusts pixels. HueLumino changes the color values on your vector objects, so the artwork stays vector — no rasterizing, no placing an Illustrator file into Photoshop and back. The controls will feel familiar if you know Photoshop's Curves, Levels, Color Balance, and Gradient Map; the difference is that Targets and Protect let you decide which vector color sources are allowed to change before you commit.
Is this a subscription?
No. The $29 license is a one-time purchase. Your license does not expire, and every Version 1.x update is included.
Which systems does Version 1.0 support?
Adobe Illustrator 2026 on Apple Silicon macOS. The current release does not support Windows or Intel Macs. Check the manual before buying if you use an older Illustrator version.
Do the adjustments change my artwork?
Yes, after you choose Apply. Live Preview holds the captured supported colors during the edit, and Discard restores them before the session ends. Keep a duplicate of important artwork as part of your normal Illustrator workflow.
What happens when Version 2 arrives?
A future major version may be an optional paid upgrade. Skipping it will not cancel your Version 1 license. Version 1.x compatibility fixes for the supported Illustrator range remain included.
